Business Background
A multi-outlet pharmacy business needed one dependable data flow.
Farmasi C S operates pharmaceutical retail and wholesale activities through multiple outlets and also sells online through Sitegiant. The previous software made it difficult to maintain consistent item information and timely transaction records across the operation.
The move to AutoCount was intended to connect physical stores, e-commerce activities, inventory records and financial information more effectively, while giving users a more reliable view of what was happening across the business.
The project was not only a software replacement.
Its central purpose was to reduce data inconsistency between outlets and online sales while improving the timeliness of stock, transaction and financial information.
Previous challenges
Disconnected records created reconciliation and stock-control problems.
The previous environment depended heavily on manual checking and infrequent updates, increasing the risk of differences between branches and the online channel.
1
Mismatched item codes
Branches and the online platform did not always use consistent item codes, making sales, inventory and financial information harder to reconcile.
2
Month-end synchronisation
Transaction fees and sales information were synchronised manually at month end, delaying financial recording and reconciliation.
3
Manual multi-location stock tracking
Inventory control across outlets relied heavily on manual work, increasing error risk and making stock-taking more difficult.
